Call for Companies for the Spring 2009 Canadian Co-investment Summit
Spring 2009 Canadian Co-investment Summit
March 23, 2009
Applications being accepted until May 8th, 2009 by the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO)
With the 36% decline in venture capital financing from 2007 to 2008, it has reached its lowest level in 12 years. This leaves Angel investors and private equity as the last remaining bastions of early-stage growth capital in Canada. Don't let any of the early-stage companies you have supported with your capital or your mentorship falter for lack of follow-on financing!
Make sure that they apply to present at the Spring 2009 Co-investment Summit, hosted Friday, May 22nd, 2009 by the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University and NACO.
This complimentary event will allow Angel investors to invest in the best of the best early-stage companies, just as at our first Canadian Co-investment Summit in November 2008, which saw presentations by 25 of the best early-stage growth-oriented companies, to over 150 Angel investors.
But can a province this size really compete with the Ontarios and Californias of the world - the two jurisdictions that have taken the lead on smart grid?
